Hello and welcome back, archers, and it is good to be back in the woods, as I recently took to Redfox Archers for the first 3D shoot of the year, and it was brilliant to be back in the woods and aiming at the 3D targets. As I said in the last Blackbird Podcast, the atmosphere was its usual fun and relaxed vibe, with plenty of chitchat and plenty of laughs. I will say that even my own shooting was somewhat improved, but clearly a lot of room for improvement, but it allowed me to enjoy the day, and the team were great, with Johnathan of Limerick Archery Club, Dave of Wexford Archery Club, who I figured would be very good as soon as I saw Wexford Archery on the back of his jacket, and then we had Longbow Liam 🙂, who on the day was back to Hunter Recurve and shooting like an absolute legend. I think nearly 40 archers showed up on the day, which was great, because it must be said that the weather has been cat, rain and more rain, all types of rain, and I, for one, have had enough of all this rain. It makes a poor man out of all of us, but on the day, thankfully, it remained mostly dry.
