Robin Hood Shoot

There isn’t much evidence to support the existence of Robin Hood. Which is sad really. The Americans can claim Fred Bear and Howard Hill, of course. But it is unlikely the gallantry and romance of undermining a greedy and corrupt authority was true to life. Imagine taking money from politicians and using it to support the homeless, remove poverty, improve healthcare and education? A romantic notion… But that’s enough cynicism! On the 11th of January, I attended the Robin Hood Portsmouth Round, co-hosted by Northern Ireland Civil Service and Muckamore Company of Archers. Both these clubs are at the forefront of Target Archery rounds, with no shortage of competitions throughout the year.
