3D World Championships Slovenia

The 2024 World Archery 3D Championships are currently taking place at the scenic Mokrice Castle in Slovenia, running from September 30 to October 6. Over 300 archers from 31 countries are participating, competing in the 3D archery discipline, which involves shooting at lifelike animal targets set in natural environments. The tournament has progressed to the elimination stages, with both individual and team matches in full swing.

The U.S. men’s and women’s teams are competing fiercely, with standout performances in compound and longbow categories. Shiloh Butts, Christian Clark, and Madison Ritter have advanced to challenging matchups against strong opponents from France, Finland, and Austria. The mixed team events are also exciting, with the U.S. competing in longbow and compound matches against Italy and Denmark.

On the individual front, athletes like James Todd (compound) and Julie Jones (traditional) are up against top seeds from Austria and San Marino. The final matches and medal ceremonies will take place over the weekend, culminating the event​

AI Field Champs

The 2024 Archery Ireland National Field Championships took place at Drewstown House, Co. Meath, on September 7-8, 2024. This event saw a wide range of archers competing across different bow categories on a challenging 24-target course, with both marked and unmarked distances. The competition involved shooting three arrows per target, with a maximum potential score of 864 points over two days. The layout included both woodland and lakeside shots, culminating in a thrilling cross-lake shot.

A total of 35 archers participated, with standout performances across multiple categories. Medals were presented by Jim Conroy, a founding member of Archery Ireland and a former Olympic archer, in a lighthearted ceremony that concluded the event.

World Archery Championship – Tlaxcala 2024

The 2024 Hyundai Archery World Cup Final is set to take place in Tlaxcala, Mexico on October 19-20, featuring the top 32 archers across recurve and compound events. Key contenders include Marcus D’Almeida, defending champion from Hermosillo 2023, and South Korea’s Kim Woojin. The matches will use a bracket format to determine the final winners, promising intense competition among elite archers from around the world​.
