1 – What is your favourite animal?
Penguin

2 – What club are you a member of?
Lisburn City Archery Club

3 – What is your preferred shooting style?
Recurve

4 – How did you get into archery?
Went to a scout centre with a school trip shot two arrows both tens and was hooked from there.

5 – Who is your favourite fictional archer?
Robin Hood

6 – What is your favourite competition type?
Target clout was good fun though.

7 – Would you rather do archery whilst riding a unicorn or a pegasus?
Pegasus

8 – What is the oddest thing you have seen during a competition?
Cats behind the targets.

9 – What is the best shot you have made in a competition?
Best feeling arrow was probably my first at the NI indoor championships as I hadn’t shot a competition in 2 months.

10 – Which fictious archers would you want on your side for a team match?
Hawkeye and Green Arrow.

11 – What are your goals in archery?
To represent either GB or Ireland at an international level.

12 – What is your proudest achievement in the sport?
Probably 8th overall in the NI indoor championships in junior recurve.

13 – What is the best advice you have been given in archery?
Trust you’re process.

14 – How do you think you would have fared in the stone age with a bow and arrows?
Think it would have been interesting as it would’ve been some form of longbow or trad bow I probably would’ve done terribly because I have no experience of either.

15 – What is the one thing you really enjoy in the sport?
More importantly what’s not to enjoy about the sport but if I had to be specific I would say the feeling after you make a really nice shot and it goes dead centre in the ten.

16 – What one thing in the sport irritates you the most?
Blank boss shooting it works but I hate having to do it.

17 – What would you like to see in terms of improvement within archery as a sport?
Archery as a sport could be improved by bringing the sport into more youth programs or schools, this would boost participation particularly when it comes to juniors.

18 – What do you think would make a great mascot for the sport of archery?
I don’t know to be honest.

19 – Who is your most fervent supporter?
My parents.

20 – If you could shoot another bow style, what would it be?
Would go back to barebow or maybe even longbow.

21 – What is your favourite shooting venue?
I’ve only shot at seven venues but I would have to say Clandyeboye Estate for field and Lisnagarvey for target.

22 – What would make a great 3D target?
I would have to say a dolphin.

23 – What would get more people into archery?
More televised events and more involvement in schools like we see in the US with the NASP.
