A Community at the Heart of Irish Archery

TIFAM is a community-based, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the sport of archery across Ireland. Our mission extends beyond publishing—we actively organize and support archery events nationwide. Our flagship event, the TIFAM All-Ireland Archery Festival, has become a pivotal gathering for archers of all affiliations, providing a space for participants to share their passion through tournaments, workshops, and activities.

The TIFAM All-Ireland Archery Festival welcomes archers from all walks of life. It offers opportunities to participate in various archery tournaments, workshops, and presentations, fostering community and celebrating the sport. This event is a key part of the archery landscape in Ireland, bringing people together for both enjoyment and learning.

In 2024, the festival in Thurles introduced the TIFAM Youth Merit Cup, where the first three young winners were recognized not only for their archery skills but also for their contributions to their communities. This initiative underscores the broader values of archery—emphasizing social responsibility and personal development alongside athletic achievement.

TIFAM Youth: Empowering the Next Generation

The TIFAM Youth magazine, a youth version of our core publication, was created to inspire and engage young archers. It offers a platform for the younger generation to express their experiences and aspirations in the sport. Alongside the TIFAM Youth Merit Cup, the magazine fosters a sense of belonging and contribution to the wider archery community, encouraging young people to share their journeys and achievements.

A National Platform for Archery

At TIFAM, we believe in creating spaces where people can engage with archery in meaningful ways. As part of our ongoing efforts, we are developing plans for a multi-association national training and learning hub, which will host the TIFAM All-Ireland Archery Festival for many years to come. This hub will also serve as the venue for two major archery shoots annually—in winter and spring.

Importantly, this initiative aims to foster cross-border cooperation with clubs and associations from Northern Ireland and the UK, promoting collaboration and connectivity across the archery community. These ventures reflect our commitment to creating progressive opportunities for archers across Ireland to participate, network, and grow within the sport.

Our Mission: More Than Just Publication

TIFAM is more than a publication—it is a movement to support and advance the sport of archery in Ireland. Our mission is to bring people together, advocating for the sport through both written content and live events. We provide a platform for archers to share their stories, experiences, and perspectives, enriching the community and promoting the growth of archery. Through our magazine and events, we help raise the visibility and development of the sport throughout the country.

Inclusivity and Integration

We believe archery should be accessible to everyone. Through events such as the All-Ireland Archery Festival and initiatives like the Youth Merit Cup, we aim to create inclusive spaces where everyone feels welcome to participate. Our focus is on building connections among diverse groups and offering opportunities for all to experience the benefits and joy of archery.

Ethical Approach

Our work is driven by a commitment to the common good. Unlike commercial ventures, TIFAM prioritizes socially beneficial goals, always striving to act in ways that serve the community and uphold the values we hold dear. While we recognize the need for resources to sustain our mission, we remain focused on ethical practices that support both the sport and its participants.

Join Us: Building a Future for Archery Together

TIFAM is more than an organization—it is a community dedicated to the future of archery in Ireland. Through our festivals, youth programs, and the pages of our magazine, we are committed to making archery a sport for all. Together, we can build a vibrant and inclusive future for archery, ensuring its place in Irish life for generations to come.

Join us in elevating archery in Ireland and be part of a community that values integrity, inclusion, and a shared passion for the sport.
